CANIDENTITY

My magazine CANIDENTITY was created to show off my ability to design. The magazine itself is geared for dog lovers, however the design is for anyone who appreciates a magazine that is simple but informative, and doesn’t throw information at you. My design is clean, open, and invites my audience in. The uncongested feel lets my audience rest and feel like they have time to finish the articles, while my subtle use of lines throughout the magazine gently guides the reader through to the end.

That being said this project is ALL about my design. I used a combination of images and text from articles I found and dummy text, because the actual content of my magazine is not the focus. As a designer for a magazine you are given all the images and text that fills each page. It is the designer's job to decide how much space to put in the margins, or even how much space between each letter, and the typeface / font size / color to use for the text, and so much more. The designer even has to keep track of all this information, which is their 'design rules', so that anyone can repeat this if need be. You can find my rules here.
